Certain People #5 – Light Asylum live, Peaches DJ-Set, Planningtorock DJ-Set and more
Our fifth edition of Certain People will see a performance by the up and coming Light Asylum from Brooklyn, NY. With edgy vocals and rough synth sounds, the Brooklyn-based duo, comprised of vocalist Shannon Funchess and Bruno Coviello, deliver a bombastic performance. A mixture of goth, new wave and industrial as well as songs like "Dark Allies" appealed to an international audience thus far. On 1st May, the band released its self-titled debut album via Mexican Summer. A German release is planned in June.
Peaches will get behind the DJ booth. In addition to her excessive solo shows and recent theater gigs (Peaches Christ Superstar, Peaches Does Herself, L'Orfeo), the Berlin-based artist is also known to lure the crowds with her versatile DJ skills. We're also looking forward to a reunion with Janine Rostron a.k.a. Planningtorock, who performed her debut album W at the Certain People premiere. She'll be back at PanoramaBar with one of her infamous DJ sets.
